Shakespeare Fortnight
February and March2024

For this year's Shakespeare Fortnight we returned to 'The Tempest', Shakespeare's tale of revenge set on a magical island. We looked at extracts from the play, did lots of writing based on the characters and events, created pieces of art and, working with actors Kaiden and Rowan from the Icarus Theatre Company, performed parts of the play. On the final Friday of the fortnight we all came to school dressed as character inspired by those that appear in 'The Tempest'. Take a look at some of the pictures from that day.

MMR Vaccination Pop-Up Centres

Because there has been an increase in cases of measles in te West Midlands the NHS has set up a number of 'pop-up' vaccination centres to help parents and carers ensure their children are up to date with their MMR jabs. THe letter below has details of when and where these centres are operating. Children's Flu Vaccinations (Nasal Spray)

Every child from Reception to Year 6 is being offered the Influenza (Nasal Flu) Immunisation. Details are included in the letter below.

The Vaccination Team will be in school on Thursday 5th October and Friday 24th November

Drop Off and Collection Arrangements - Autumn Term 2023

Start of day drop off arrangements.

Gates will open at 8:25, please ensure all your children are in school by 8:45 for the start of their lessons.     

YEARS 1 to 6 please drop your children off at the main gate, as normal. (YELLOW)

RECEPTION, NURSERY, TERRIFIC for TWOS – please bring your children through the PEDESTRIAN GATE and down the path and leave via the MAIN GATE

End of day collection arrangements.

Children in family groups will be brought out together with the youngest child.

 

AT 2:55p.m.:       

RECEPTION – from outside the Nursery gate. (GREEN)
YEAR 1 – from the main gate. (YELLOW)
YEAR 2 – from outside the Community Room. (ORANGE)

AT 3:10 p.m.:       

NURSERY – from the Nursery gate (PURPLE)
YEAR 3 – from beside the Nursery gate. (GREEN)
YEAR 4 – from outside the Community Room. (ORANGE)
YEAR 5 – from the main gate. (YELLOW)
YEAR 6 – from outside the top gate. (RED)
