On the afternoon of Thursday 3rd April, Year 5 had their Mayan extravaganza outcome. Parents were invited to attend, and the children were able to show them all they had learned during their Spring History topic. With a mixture of display and performance, the children wowed the adults who had attended with their expert knowledge of the Central American civilisation. Parents and carers could look at the work the children had produced, which included intricate artwork, amazing clay statues, mesmerising Mayan patterns using Scratch on the laptops and even delicious burritos that the children had made during their DT cooking lessons. The children’s efforts were amazing and everyone who attended agreed that it was a fantastic afternoon all round!! Fantastic job Year 5!!
